Pure South Dining is a restaurant and bar located on the Southbank, Melbourne. It first opened in 2004 as a champion of ethical farmers, fishermen and artisan producers; building close relationships to provide their guests with a world class dining experience.

Shine On was sought to assess the lighting requirements within Pure South. Following an assessment, Shine On suggested alternatives that would continue to reduce the restaurants costs and environmental footprint. By replacing the existing lighting, Pure South was able to save on unnecessary energy consumption, while still retaining the all important ambience of the restaurant.

Using a combination of LED tubes, downlights and adaptors, Shine On improved the lighting levels and lowered their annual lighting energy consumption by an impressive 70%. Importantly, the five year energy cost savings for the restaurant will be in excess of over $31,800, with a payback period of only nine months.
