Background
We began working with De La Salle College in 2017 following a referral from another school. They knew to trust Shine On due to our extensive work with other private and public high schools in the area, including their sister school Star of the Sea College.
The project
Over the last few years we have conducted several LED lighting projects, systematically upgrading their Malvern campuses lights from old energy-sucking halogens and fluorescents to market-leading energy efficient LEDs. In total we have upgraded nearly 2,000 lights over many school holidays periods in every area of the school – classrooms, theatre, gymnasium, libraries etc.
Results
Since we began working with De La Salle, their energy costs have decreased an estimated 68% which saves them over $35,213 per year in energy costs.
