Background
Tyrrell’s were looking to upgrade the lights at their Pokolbin cellar door and surrounding buildings to combat rising energy costs, improve the lighting ambience in public areas and create a safer working environment.
The project
Before recommending a solution, we undertook a number of site visits to completely understand the client requirements and ensure we delivered the best possible outcome. The majority of the job involved replacing all fluorescent tubes with our Juko IP66 LED Battens and upgrading all energy-zapping 400 watt metal halides to our 110 watt Apollo UFO LED Highbay.
Results
Following installation, Tyrrell’s has saved 72% on their lighting energy bill, which equates to over $24,400 in savings in the first year and completely paid back within the same time! Importantly, the lighting within the site has improved significantly, creating a far better and brighter working environment.
