We work in partnership with accredited Energy Savings Scheme (ESS) providers to offer subsidies on LED upgrades installed in commercial premises in NSW.
What is the Energy Savings Scheme?
The Energy Savings Scheme (ESS) is the NSW Government’s flagship energy efficiency program. Its main objective is to create a financial incentive to households and businesses to reduce their energy consumption by encouraging energy saving activities. Since its launch in 2009, the ESS has supported projects that will deliver more than 19,000 gigawatt hours of energy savings, and over $2.9 million in bill savings. Lighting upgrades have made up more than 70% of these energy savings.
How does it work?
All of our LED products are accredited under the ESS, meaning we are able to offer discounts of up to 80% off the full price of the upgrade, including both product and installation. Energy Saving Certificates (ESCs) are generated through the reduction in energy use and liable parties such as electricity retailers buy the ESCs. One ESC is equivalent to one carbon tonne of carbon abated and targets have been set until 2025.
What does this mean for you?
We can offer our customers a subsidy worth up to 80% of the total upfront cost of the installation, depending on the going ESC rate and the type of business and building you are in. This rate is quoted within your lighting proposal and is an immediate upfront discount on the price of the LED light upgrade.
Here’s an example
A public high school is upgrading their old inefficient fluorescent tubes to sleek LED panel lights.
Total value of upgrade: $30,000
ESS subsidy: $9,500
Paid price: $20,500
We handle all the paperwork and any additional services required under the scheme such as recycling, at absolutely no extra cost.
There is no better time to upgrade your business to LED than now.
