Football NSW – Shine On new LED lighting partner

Shine On announced as Football NSW LED lighting partner

Football NSW has secured the services of Shine On as its official LED Lighting Partner.

Shine On is a sports lighting specialist that has installed LED lights to sports clubs and their facilities around the country. They design and develop their own market-leading LED sports lights that provide the best lighting outcomes at the highest efficiencies.

The company recently contributed to the upgrade of lights at Valentine Sports Park Field 1 as part of a project to ensure the facility was compliant with regulations as a FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 Training Site.

The upgraded LED lighting has seen the lux levels on Field 1 almost double, while the light spill to surrounding areas reduced thanks to the technology and design which ensures the light is directed on the field, where it is needed.

Football NSW CEO John Tsatsimas emphasised the importance of effective lighting for community football.

“As our sport continues to grow, lighting at community fields is vital to increasing access to our sport,” he said.

“We look forward to working and engaging with Shine On in helping to provide value to our local clubs and Associations.”

Managing Director of Shine On, James Johnson, was thrilled with the new partnership.

“We are really excited about the opportunity to work with Football NSW and to help their clubs around the state improve the lighting for both players and spectators,” he said.

“We have just completed the lighting upgrade at Valentines Sports Park in record time for the FIFA Women’s World Cup and look forward to ensuring that same level of service and quality for other football clubs around NSW.”

As part of the partnership, Shine On will provide lux audits for football fields across the Football NSW footprint, either in person or through the provision of lux readers to Associations and Clubs to perform the review themselves. This will include a formalised report based on the lux audit and quotes for the upgrading of lights, which Clubs and Associations can use to assist with applying for grants and funding.
