Issue
PharmaCare engaged us to upgrade their storage and distribution site which included warehousing, temperature controlled rooms and a large office space. The warehouses in particular had extremely poor lighting levels with a number of lights not working and in some instances there were no lights at all in the aisles, causing safety issues.
Solution
Due to the poor placement of existing lights in the warehouse, we undertook lighting designs and were able to delamp, move and replace the metal halides with our H-Track and H-Flux highbays – guaranteeing the light was exactly where it was needed and exceeded AS1680 requirements. In the office, we replaced the fluorescent tubes with our Omera Mk2 Panel with a bespoke colour temperature manufactured especially for PharmaCare. The result of the upgrade was significantly better light and a 71% reduction in their lighting power bill. That’s a saving of over $220,000 over 10 years!
